Been talking to this guy for two weeks. We’ve only hung out twice. We didn’t make plans. It’s so new that it really didn’t even cross my mind that we might make plans for Valentine’s Day and I’m totally fine with that. But this is pretty weak sauce.  Zoom

a lovely song to end valentine’s day.

i swear i’m not trying to sound like a jaded cynic, but i don’t really think i’ve ever been big on valentine’s day. sure, it’s nice to have someone who loves you and cares about you. but i’ve never been a big believer in showering the other person with gifts on this particular day. i think love should be celebrated every single day. now, with that said, i have fond memories of past valentine’s days. but my favorite valentine’s days have been spent just being in the company of the one i love and maybe making dinner, listening to music, holding hands, and sharing a kiss. and i hope to have that with someone again. but to all of my friends who ARE in loving relationships this year, i can only hope that i’m in a relationship as happy as yours one day. i love you all.

hmm, i know i’m single and all, but i’m pretty sure that even if i did have a boyfriend, he wouldn’t want a bamboo plant. and he especially wouldn’t want a bamboo plant shaped like a heart. (photo of a pro flowers ad on my pandora today)
