What’s up Cowboys Stadium? See you Thursday.
It’s been almost two weeks since I drove up to Tampa to meet up with my NYC buddy Joe to go to the Cowboys/Bucs game. Nevermind that we managed to get $50 nosebleed seats to a sold out game. We were just happy to be there and drink beer and watch football.

Needless to say fun times were had (and the Cowboys kept their playoff hopes alive that night)!
So I went back to NYC again this past weekend (yes, again). Here’s my trip in photos:

Near Chinatown for brunch.

The 3 Musketeers (we were waiting for the 4th).

Normally I avoid Rock Center like the plague…especially around Christmas. But the tourist in me won out. I mean, it’s Christmas!

omg. totally saw this guy in miami yesterday. my friend was in town just for the day on business (non-super bowl related) and he and his colleague were staying at the hilton in downtown miami and THIS SAINTS POPE GUY was at the hotel bar. i bet this was from the hilton balcony. I BET!
lookie who went to the pro bowl
now i realize usually the pro bowl is seen as a boring football game. the players don’t really “play hard” so that they won’t get hurt. but, it’s the first time the game has been played in the continental u.s. in over 30 years, which is pretty monumental. i believe the game will return to hawaii next season, but it was pretty awesome to have the game played here in south florida this year…especially cause i got to work the event!
it was definitely a long day (14 hours to be exact)! but i had a great time and it’s definitely an experience i’ll never forget.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot…
:)
don’t worry smash, i’ve been reminding EVERYONE for you, me, and every other cowboy fan out there. go ‘boys!
My last game at the stadium yesterday. Although it was a fun season, I’m looking ahead ti’ the pro bowl, super bowl, and a new dolphins season.
My weekend plans:
Tonight- club level seats to the panthers/capitals hockey game at the Bank Atlantic Center. I’m not a huge hockey fan, but I have seats 4 rows behind the ice and my boss generously offered them up.
Tomorrow- tickets to the U of Miami vs UVA game at noon. A noon kickoff makes for a terrible tailgate party, but we’ll see.
every week, a few “celebrities” walk the orange carpet at the dolphins game (get it, cause the dolphins’ colors are orange and aqua?). marc anthony (“limited partner”) and jennifer lopez have gone to every game and walked the carpet. kenan thompson from SNL was there, kim kardashian, among others. lance bass didn’t want all the attention, so he skipped the carpet, but i got to meet him on the field. he was so nice. i was too shy to ask for a photo (i’m really weird about asking people for photos while working, i think it’s rather unprofessional), so i snapped this picture of him while he was doing some on camera stuff for us.
now i feel better about being an nsync fan all those years ago.
i never get tired of looking at the field before game time. too bad yesterday’s game resulted in a harsh loss.
