I got the BEST CARE PACKAGE EVER from @bonbonsbyserena!
I sometimes have to remind myself how I have somehow managed to surround myself with awesome and thoughtful people. As you know, I went to Austin about a week and a half ago to visit my friend Serena. She has always been an amazing hostess to her company, and my visit was no exception. She introduced me to one of her friends who writes for a craft beer journal for a living (hello, dream job!). So not only was her friend J nice enough to bring over some amazing beers that aren’t available in Florida, but she sent them my way (via Serena). And while I was at Serena’s I was raving to her about the Dr. Bronner Magic Soap (available at Whole Foods, but not at Fresh Market, FYI). So I squealed when she threw one in the care package for moi! And as if that weren’t enough, she sent me her Austin-famous* Bon Bons by Serena.
I really do have the most amazing friends in the world.
*soon to be world famous!

Why does Kim Kardashian even bother going to sporting events if she’s just gonna text on her phone?

My New Year’s Day was spent at work, but I got to witness Jason Taylor play his last NFL game, a Dolphins win, and his team carrying him off the field (above). Not a shabby way to start 2012.

My brother and I may or may not have sent this photo of us out to our family in this year’s Christmas cards.

If only your New Years Eve kiss could look this… sweet?
Starting in September 2011, shortly after he brought his keen eye to the colorful goings-on around Lincoln Center during Fashion Week, photographer Zoran Milich widened his lens as part of a special assignment for LIFE.com: In a new, weekly feature called Gothamatic, he wandered the streets of New York City, observing all the little things that make living in the five boroughs such a beautiful, frustrating, amusing experience. Now, as the another year in the city winds down, take a look at The Best of Gothamatic.
Amazing slideshow.
It’s been almost two weeks since I drove up to Tampa to meet up with my NYC buddy Joe to go to the Cowboys/Bucs game. Nevermind that we managed to get $50 nosebleed seats to a sold out game. We were just happy to be there and drink beer and watch football.

Needless to say fun times were had (and the Cowboys kept their playoff hopes alive that night)!
Me and my brother before the big Dolphins vs Cowboys game on Thanksgiving Day. I am so happy that not only us, but 7 other family members got to go to the game too. I have a lot to be thankful for.
Ran the Tunnel to Towers 5k this morning. Here I am with my bro, post finish line. As expected he passed me by and I ate his dust. Although I can’t say I properly trained this time around, it was one of the more memorable races I’ve done. Tons of cops and firefighters ran the race. I even saw a military officer in fatigues carrying a 50 pound backpack and running with a huge American flag. It was a rather inspiring and patriotic sight to see.
