The Bachelor S16 E08: Were Courtney Robertson’s Wedding Vows Inspired By Sex and the City?
1) I can’t believe this (well…I can, but seriously, WTF)
2) I’m openly admitting I watch The Bachelor

Today TNT released a promo for their updated Dallas series (premiering next summer). Then you have Big Rich Texas premiering on Style Network this weekend. And I’ve started seeing more and more promos for Most Eligible Dallas on Bravo (premiering next month).
Yee haw.

OBLIGATORY HARRY POTTER REBLOG.
LOVE me some Tom Hardy. I cannot wait for The Dark Knight Rises. Summer 2012 can’t get here soon enough.

[Ed Note: In recent visits or phone calls with my parents, we seem to reminisce a lot about the past and my childhood. My mom has since urged me to share these stories, hence, a new series in blogs posts titled “True Stories From Yesteryear”. You can check out past entries here]
Fun fact about me: When I was in college, I had not one, not two, but TEN internships. I don’t know if it was because i was an overachiever or indecisive about what I wanted to do post-college, but needless to say it provided for a lot of stories. One of which includes this one…
My sophomore year of college, I had a friend who was an intern at New Line Cinema. As a former Universal Pictures intern, i knew all too well about promotional stunts for upcoming movies. So when she asked me to don a wedding dress to promote the Chris O’Donnell/Renee Zellweger movie The Bachelor, I hesitated. Then she said the magic words, “You’ll get paid $50 for each appearance”. Now, as a college kid who made about, oh, $80/week (if I was lucky), that was all the motivation I needed. Basically my attitude went from “I don’t know…” to “I’m getting paaaaaiiiid??? When and where do you want me to wear that wedding dress?”

THE. BILLY. DEE. WILLIAMS. Much thanks to Johnny for hooking me up with a fun time at Miami Comic Con. To read about the event, you can visit @ComicConTweetup.

Now don’t get me wrong, I totally respect Buffy, but I was never a fanatic. This picture was taken more to brag to my friends Sean and Norman who were HUGE Buffy fans. Now if you bring up Joss Whedon, THAT I can relate to.
stay classy, edward norton. you’re awesome.
Kickass Cover of the Day: The single most impressive alt-folk Saved By The Bell theme song cover you will hear today, guaranteed.

The 2010 LOST Panel at PaleyFest was amazingly fun and after it finished I wasn’t attacked by the Smoke Monster, so I guess I did an OK job.
1,900 people showed up Saturday Night for Panel at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills with a monster panel that included.
(From Stage L-R) Nestor Carbonell, Adam Horowitz, Eddy Kitsis, Jack Bender, Carlton Cuse, Damon Lindelof, Liz Sarnoff, Zuleikha Robinson, Michael Emerson, and Terry O’Quinn.
We did a 2 hour Q & A - We learned a lot. I even pressed Darlton to confirm that it might be possible for the Smoke Monster to turn himself into a time travelling Delorean. I got a maybe.
We talked about The Hurley Bird, Lost Themed Disney Rides, Whether or Not Illana is as Old as Richard? Who is Jack’s Wife? Will Walt Return and Most Importantly Michael Emerson answered the question that everyone wanted to know, “Who is the Best Puncher in the Cast?”

i’m a loyal reader of popcandy (usa today’s pop culture blog written by whitney matheson). usually i love going through the “early buzz”, but somehow whit manages to find the most wonderful hidden gems on the internet. now, i think because i’m fresh from a friend’s wedding a week ago, i find these comic book wedding invites ADORABLE. hopefully if and when i get married, my future husband will be cool with something like this.
